1/22/11 (Season 6)
First place again for Phil and Eric
For the second time this season, Phil Schneider and Eric Klavoon finished in first place. While they did not toss any perfect games, they ended with a 13-3 record, with two of their three losses coming in 5 overtime rounds. This is Eric's 4th straight first place finish, just one shy of tying the record set by Josh Greenauer in Season 3 (5 consecutive weeks with a first place finish).
Scott Silverman & Dan Klavoon got paired up for the first time ever, taking second place at 12-4 with two perfect games. They also won all their overtime games, going 5-0 in OT. Adam Williams may not have played in 10 OT games this week, but he is happy with a 3rd place finish with LeeAnn Greenauer at 11-5 and a perfect game.
Other perfect games were tossed by Bob Greenauer & Nate Schutt as well as the "all day" team of Josh Greenauer & Bob Bowers. Josh & Bob nearly missed playing in an 11th OT game on the last game of the night. This was the second straight week for Josh playing in 10 OT games. At this rate, Phil's OT record from last year could be in jeopardy...
Courtesy of Dick's Sporting Goods, a $20 gift certificate was up for grabs for the first player to throw an instant win in league play. While there were some close shots, including TJ's trademark "tomahawk" shot, no instant wins were thrown in Week 6. The certificate remains up for grabs for play in Week 7.
Eric Klavoon takes a commanding lead in the overall standings with 5 first place finishes in the first six weeks. In a back-and-forth battle, Dan Klavoon moves past Bob Greenauer with a three point lead for second place. Adam Williams will not give up his 4th place spot and Josh Greenauer holds at 5th. Phil Schneider moves all the way from 12th up to 6th and LeeAnn Greenauer moves from 11th up to 7th. There is currently just one point separating four players for 6th place, with Phil leading the pack. More than halfway through the season, there are just a few weeks until the drop weeks are added in. Here we go!
