Shootout for first place won by Dan & TJ
In the closest finish this season, Dan Klavoon & TJ Burns tied with Phil Schneider & Josh Greenauer at 13-3. Since they split their series against each other 1-1, this set up a three-round, total points shootout to determine first place in Week 7. Dan & TJ tossed 14 points in the shootout, beating Phil & Josh's total of 12 points to take first place.
All of the top 5 teams tossed at least one perfect game. Making his triumphant return to the league was Steve Wojcik, who coincidentally got paired with his long-time partner, Eric Klavoon, a duo that captured three consecutive KanJam World Championships. They led the league with 4 perfect games in Week 7. The top two teams of Dan & TJ and Phil & Josh each tossed 3 perfect games, while Dana Misenheimer & Nate Schutt threw two. Scott Silverman & Adam Williams also threw one perfect game. Eric Klavoon leads the league overall in this category with 13, followed by Dana Misenheimer (9), Dan Klavoon (8), and Nate Schutt (8).
In the instant win department, Josh Greenauer tossed an instant win in the first game against Dan & TJ. In doing so, Josh wins the $20 Dick's Sporting Goods gift certificate - Congrats! Shortly after, LeeAnn Greenauer tossed an instant win in a game against Alex Reinecke & Bob Greenauer, just missing her shot at the certificate. Overall, Josh ties Alex in total instant wins on the season with two.
While there weren't a ridiculous number of overtime games played this week, the game of the week took place between Phil & Josh and Eric & Steve. Their second game of the series went to five overtime rounds before Eric & Steve ultimately won. Alex & Bob led the league with 7 overtime games played this week.
Dan Klavoon closes in on his brother, Eric Klavoon in the overall standings. Eric still maintains the number one spot, but his lead is cut to 12 points. Bob Greenauer holds a small three point lead over Adam Williams for third place, while Josh Greenauer and Phil Schneider stay at 5th and 6th. TJ moves from 12th up to 7th, just ahead of Dana, Nate, and Scott in the top 10.
