Final Results (Season 7)
Fourth consecutive league title for Eric Klavoon
Getting paired with 10 different partners over the 11-week season, Eric Klavoon amassed the most points to win the 2011-2012 Buffalo, NY random draw KanJam League. This marks Eric's 4th consecutive league crown, and 5th title overall in the seven seasons of the league. While Bob Greenauer had two more wins, Eric's five first place finishes helped propel him to the top yet again in what was a fantastic season at the new location.
In an impressive second place overall finish, Bob Greenauer led the league in wins and posted three first place finishes. Having thrown 5 perfect games in the final week, Bob came very close to the single season record for perfect games, falling just one short of tying the record of 22 in a season (by Eric Klavoon in the 2009-2010 season). Bob's 21 perfect games led the league, with Eric at 18 and Matt Nelson at 14.
Josh Greenauer finished in 3rd place in yet another great season for the veteran, finishing one point ahead of Matt Nelson, who had a fantastic season in his first league with an overall 4th place finish. Tim Klavoon, another long-time player, recorded his first top 5 finish with the 5th place spot overall. All top 5 players finished with over 100 wins; for both Bob & Josh Greenauer, this is the 6th time in the 7 seasons they had over 100 wins. For Eric Klavoon, he is the only player to have at least 120 wins or more in all 7 seasons.
Just shy of the 100-win mark in their first season, Jon Sandino and Brian Ellis finished 5th and 6th, both tossing 11 perfect games on the season. Scott Silverman ended in 8th place at 97 wins, including three first place finishes. Bob Bowers ended one point ahead of Dana Misenheimer for 9th place.
Adam Williams was the lone leader in Instant Wins, having thrown three Instant Wins on the season, including a never-been-done-before feat on Week 9 with two over-the-top game winners. Newcomers Nick Stewart and Shane Nelson came in second in Instant Wins, each throwing two on the season. Other Instant Wins were thrown by Eric Klavoon, Matt Nelson, Tim Klavoon, Pat Peri, Kim Daugherty, Bob Bowers, and Brian Juszkiewicz.
In the overtime department, Scott Silverman played in the most overtime games (52) over the course of the 11-week season. Josh Greenauer led in overtime wins with 30, with Eric Klavoon at 29 and Dana Misenheimer at 28 overtime wins.
Like the previous season, no team had a record of 16-0 or 15-1 in any week. However, there were six pairups that went 14-2. The best performance of the season was by Bob Greenauer & Brian Ellis who went 14-2 with 5 perfect games and a 5-1 overtime record in the final week of the season. The two longest games of the season went to 5 overtime rounds. The first was won by Phil Schneider & Kim Daugherty in a game against Scott Silverman & Bob Bowers. The other game was won by Phil Schneider & Bob Greenauer in a match against Tim Klavoon & Shane Nelson.
This was the first season for the league at the new location, The APEX, in Getzville, NY. In all, it was one of the most successful seasons yet, and the new facility made for a great playing experience.
