ONLINE REGISTRATIONLAST DAY TO REGISTER A TEAM is Tuesday, July 31st, 2012. After this date, no more teams will be accepted and registration will be officially closed. There is a strict cutoff to allow tournament organizers time to randomly draw teams into divisions and print team folders. Teams will only be able to register online. Teams attempting to sign-up after this date or show up at the tournament will only get a spot if another team doesn't show. Teams attempting to register after the deadline will not receive any player giveaway items (KanJam gear), food/drink tickets, or Grand Prize raffle tickets. These items are only reserved for those that have registered and paid online prior to 8/1/12. EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT! - Teams that register before Sunday, July 1st, 2012 will receive $5 off the registration fee. The discounted price will be $55 per team. The last day to register to obtain this discount is Saturday, June 30th, 2012. So don't wait, register your team today! Teams will need to pay the team registration fee using a credit or debit card. Only one team can be submitted at once. For those looking to register multiple teams, please submit separate registrations. Once it goes through, registered teams will receive a payment confirmation and a tournament confirmation email. The tournament confirmation email will include all the tournament details, including the address and a link to a map. Please make sure to include a valid email address when submitting your team registration. Team Names (New change) - Team names will be monitored - no vulgarity, sexual references, or offensive subjects will be accepted. Once registrations are submitted, team names will be approved before they are officially accepted. Teams will be contacted in the event the team name needs to be changed. Just think of it as what a newspaper could write - if it is not deemed appropriate for a newspaper, it will not be accepted for the tournament. Teams can still be creative while keeping it clean! Also, team names cannot include special characters, such as { or ^. Team names must be less than 32 characters long, including spaces. REGISTRATION HAS ENDED. OTHER LINKS AND MORE INFOWhat to bringThere are a limited number of picnic tables within the pavilion. Since this is an all-day event, teams are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs in case a table isn't available. The North Tonawanda Police will be providing food and drink - each player will get food and drink tickets. There will also be additional food and drink items available for purchase. Teams are also welcome to bring their own coolers, non-alcoholic drinks, etc. Since this is a rain or shine event, teams should be prepared to play in any weather. As always, team uniforms are welcome! Official RulesThe tournament will follow all the official KanJam rules. All the rules, including the rare plays and various scoring discrepancies, are available to view in the KANJAM app for Android and iPhone. If you have an iPhone or a cell phone/tablet powered by Android, download this app today! The app is free and is a great reference. In addition to the rules, the app also has a Scorekeeper built in. In the past, time would be spent going over scoring and rules questions prior to the tournament. To save time, we will no longer go over all the rules prior to the start of the tournament. In addition, the full rules will not be included in the team folders, so teams are highly encouraged to go over the rules to ensure everyone knows what to expect. CharitiesThe Womens and Childrens Hospital of Buffalo's NEW Family Resource Center will provide inpatient families with extended stays a measure of comfort while they are away from home and provide assistance for parking, and meals. By registering a team for the 2012 KanJam World Championship, you will be helping to fund the building of this new center. Your support is greatly appreciated! Your registration will also support the North Tonawanda Police Athletic League, an organization that provides two $500 scholarships to high school seniors annually and provides donations for school- related extracurricular functions.
